Hello.  I'm Greg and welcome to my site.  Here you will find samples of the music and programming work I have done, as well as a little about me.

I started my musical life when I was four, after my parents found I constantly played an imaginary keyboard on tabletops.  I suppose they figured, why not the real thing?  My band and I recorded my first CD when I was 17, which seemed to trigger my interest in writing and composing.  Since my early days taking piano lessons, I have branched out into guitar, bass and clarinet, as well as the various synthesizers and other instruments I build across various platforms such as MaxMSP.

I attended UBC, earning a bachelor of music with a minor in applied music technology.  My studies centered on composition and songwriting with a heavy focus on programming my own projects for multimedia art installations and creating instruments.  I am especially interested in performance tracking and have build several projects using cell phones as instruments, Microsoft Kinect and subtractive analysis.  You can find samples of my work here.

I am also an experienced IT professional, having worked for world-class operating systems developers and online auction platforms for over 7 years.
